FOLICULAR UNIT EXTRACTION

Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) method is the most widely used method in Hair Transplantation, although it is named with different names such as Micro FUE, Gold FUE, Mega FUE in different sources. FUE method is taking hair roots from genetically non-spillage places like the nape or if necessary in other parts of the body (chest, back, etc.) with a low-speed working micromotor tip which attached to 0.8-1mm pin punching the area very fine. The most important difference from the FUT technique is there is no stitching, scarring, pain in the area where the hair follicles are taken, and the recovery of the area is very quickly (within 24-72 hours). The grafts are placed one by one with micro surgical instruments in the canals opened by the specialist doctors. Since the results of the FUE method and the method of application are highly satisfactory, only the FUE method is applied in Europlast Aesthetics.

FUE Method Stages

The FUE method consists of 3 stages. In the first stage, the patient is prepared for operation. First, the patient's hair analysis is done. Hair structure, hair thickness, hair type is analyzed by specialist doctor. Specialist Zafer Atakan MD. determines the most natural and healthy area to have an natural appearance special for the patient. Determining the right forehead lines is essential to obtain the most natural look. After the drawing phase is finished, the hair is shaved to 1 mm length and the donor area is numbed with local anesthesia. The person does not feel any pain except the small pain of anesthesia process during the whole operation. In order to prevent damage to the tissue from the donor site, the grafts are taken one by one with 0.6 - 1.0 mm diameter punches attached to the micro motor tip which is operated at low cycle1 graft may contain 1, 2 or 3 hairs. Before the procedure, grafts containing more dense hairs should be taken, and if necessary, the hair follicles containing single hair are removed. During the procedure, the specialist staff uses eye microscope in order to obtain hair follicles more easily and without damage. 1000 - 3500 grafts can be planted in a hair transplantation session in accordance with the need of the person, 1 graft contains an average of 2.5 hair strands. The grafts are very sensitive structures, so they are stored in a special solution before planting

In the second stage, the area where hair will be planted is anesthetized by local anesthesia and channels are opened in the region. Channeling is a job that requires expertise and experience for natural and successful hair transplantation. According to the structure of the hair, the channels are opened by using very thin (0.4 - 0.6 mm) micro-inserts, and the success rate of hair transplantation decreases in the channels that are not opened at the right width and angle. Although the human head structure resembles a cylindrical shape, it is not completely flat, so that each person's hair may come out at different angles. Hair in the neck of the vertebra (90 degrees) is upright, although in the upper regions of hair at 40 to 60 degrees. Channels should be opened at the right angle and direction to get a natural look.

Grafts are placed in the channels opened in the third stage and the procedure is completed. Placing hair in the same direction as the length of hairs that have already existed or the hairs that were previously owned is necessarily. At the end of the operation, the donor area is closed with sterile bandages and these bandages are taken the next day. Each stage of hair transplantation lasts roughly 2-3 hours and the total operation lasts for 6-9 hours. During the operation, you will be conscious, if you wish, you can have a break or a meal break, chat with your doctor and learn about the procedures.

After Hair Transplantation

In order for the treatment to be successful at the maximum rate after the Hair Transplant operation, It is important that you follow the recommendations and suggestions that Zafer Atakan MD. will give you. In the first two days of plating, the region starts to recovery and you should not wash your hair during this period. After the second day, using palms and fingertips, your hair must be washed with gentle touches without touching the shells. Zafer Atakan MD. will notify with a prescription about the drugs and care kits that you should use. After 7-10 days, planting hair roots are very sensitive and you need to be careful in this process. The planted hair continues to grow for 2 - 3 weeks and then the hair broken is poured varying person-to-person. During this event the hair roots continue to grow in a healthy way. After 6 to 8 weeks of resting, the hair follicles begin to grow again and the process continues like that for 8 to 12 months. The hair planted in the process gets thicker and healthier every day. At the end of 12 months, you will get a natural look as if your hair is not shed as the planted hair is taken from genetically non-spilled area.
